A hook is a URL that receives requests. Every hook has three capabilities, and each can be switched on by itself:

• Inbox — store, inspect, search and replay the requests it received
• Subscribers — the devices that get notified when one arrives
• Actions — an ordered pipeline: filter, transform, then push, forward or e-mail

A personal endpoint, a topic and an inspector URL are the same thing with different capabilities enabled.
